- The secondary title of the episode, "Deus Ex Machina", is named after the Latin expression meaning "god out of the machine." It is a plot device whereby a seemingly inextricable problem is suddenly and abruptly solved with the contrived and unexpected intervention of some new event, character, ability, or object.[1]
- The event where Real flies towards the sun and Daedalus says to not fly there is identical to Icarus and Daedalus in Greek mythology.
